Discover an iconic district of the City of Light

Explore one of the city's most iconic and chicest districts, located between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides, an area that has greatly contributed to the reputation of the so-called City of Light.

From the Eiffel Tower...

Turn left onto rue Saint-Dominique. Carry on until you reach Champ-de-Mars. Standing before you, you'll see the “iron lady”! Move closer, look up and admire its construction. Walk underneath the tower to the quai Branly wharf and then carry on past the museum of the same name. Continue until you reach pont de l'Alma bridge, after which the wharves are pedestrianised. Go down, closer to the Seine, and explore the redeveloped wharfs.

Walk under the pont des Invalides bridge and admire the Grand Palais on the other side of the river. Continue under the pont Alexandre III bridge. Then climb back up to the pont de la Concorde bridge. Before you, opposite place de la Concorde, you'll see the Assemblée nationale.

... To the Invalides

Retrace your steps along the quai d'Orsay until you reach avenue du Maréchal Gallieni. Walk up the esplanade des Invalides. Walk across Les Invalides courtyard and admire the église du Dôme that houses Napoleon's tomb.
